SMCC Orientation Proctored Practice Exam

Color-coded parking markings guide you to the right rules for each area. In this context, white lines are used to designate commuter parking zones, meaning those spaces are set aside for people who park on campus as part of a commuter arrangement. The other colors signal different restrictions (blue for certain reserved or accessible spaces, red for fire lanes or no parking areas, yellow for loading or tow zones), so seeing white lines helps you know you’re in a general commuter parking area. Always check the posted signs at the lot, but the typical convention here is that commuter spaces are outlined in white.
